Big Sandy ISD is updating its COVID-19 information on a district dashboard that can be seen on the district website’s homepage. The link is also below. District Administrators will update the dashboard as often as possible to give our community an accurate count on where our COVID-19 cases are taking place, who is being quarantined, and a look at our recovery rates. The district hopes that the dashboard will give us all a big picture view of the situation on our campuses. https://tinyurl.com/y2c63eh2

As we approach the end of October, which is Principal Appreciation Month, I would like to recognize all four of Big Sandy ISD’s Principals and Assistant Principals for the amazing work they do for our district every day. Being a principal is one of the most difficult jobs in education, but it can also be one of the most rewarding. Our principals, Kim Stradley at our Secondary Campuses and Andrea Blavier at our Elementary school, go above and beyond for our students each and every day. In addition, Chuck Isaac and Kelly McQueen support our students and kids like no other. I’m blessed to have all four of these leaders on our team, especially during such a difficult year for educators. When you see our leaders in our hallways, at our events, or in our community, please let them know how much you appreciate them too. Thanks for all that you do for our kids.
